April 27 – Parent’s Meeting at 4pm. We’ll be talking about the starting of a “Youth Ministry Team,” calendars will be passed out, and Jeremy and Kylie Cochran will be talking to you about the possibility of doing some classes for the teens on “God’s View of Sex.” Please be there so you can be informed.
May 3 – Friendly Avenue Church of Christ has invited us to their “Wild Worship” at the NC Zoo. All the information is on the flyer below. In order for us to go to this we will need people to drive the youth group. If you are willing to drive please e-mail me back letting me know how many you can take. We will leave the building that morning around 8:15.
May 11 – Mother’s Day
May 16-18 – Spring Retreat – Cost $40 – The date has moved
I would like to encourage all of you to make sure that your teen can come to this retreat. I feel like the Devil has been hitting us hard in terms of our unity as a group and has been doing his best to divide us. I have had a number of our teens talk to me about this and I’ve watched it over the last few months. The theme of our retreat is going to be “Unity” and we’ll be looking deep into what it means for us to be a family. I hope the outcome of this retreat will help our group come closer to where we can be about what God has called us to be about. In many lessons leading up to the retreat I will be focusing on different aspects of what things are dividing us. Please, if at all possible, encourage your teen to go on this retreat.
